P1130273Mag ik u even voorstellen: La Trappe Quadrupel Oak Aged Batch 20 (expiration date 6-2040). ‘ Dit is een echte topper’ , belooft de verkoper in de kloosterwinkel van Abdij Koningshoeven mij al op voorhand. ‘ Neemt u vooral een A-vijfje mee met informatie’ . Ik lees: cognac (34%), rum (33%) en Nieuw Eiken High Toast (33%). Even doorvragen aan Elske Vugts-Roosen, Marketing & Communicatie Manager bij de brouwerij: ‘33% heeft 5 jaar op rumvaten gelegen, 33% 1 jaar op cognac en 33% 1 jaar op nieuw eiken. Dit is samengevoegd tot wat nu batch 20 is’. Helder.

Hooray for PUNI

PUNI Alba Last Edition 43% abv

Never thought I would actually get my hands on this sample. It´s one of a kind I guess, at least till this autumn. PUNi Distillery presents Alba 43% abv later this season and I certainly expect much from this first Italian Single Malt. The Marsala casks from Sicily must have done quite a nice job up till now.
